Sustainable Road Rehabilitation in Skien Kommune Norway

Carbon Crusher did a full depth reclamation and sustainable BioBinder Stabilization of two roads for Skien kommune totaling 5200 sqm.

The Challenge

To prevent frost heaving and further degradation of the roads Skien Municipality decided to use a sustainable and superior option to bitumen stabalization of the roads.

The Solution

Full Depth Reclamation with BioBinder to avoid frost heaving and increase the stability and strength of the road.

Carbon Sequestration

In this project, Carbon Crusher's proprietary BioBinder played a pivotal role in sequestering carbon. In total we sequestered 32 tonnes of CO2 using our efficient crusher without mass removal and our BioBinder that stores the Co2 in the road.

Results

Two stabile roads that will tolerate hight temperature fluctuations and have increased load bearing capacity.

The successful completion of this project in Skien validates the efficacy of Carbon Crusher's unique road rehabilitation methods, both in terms of durability and sustainability.
